INFO HERE, AND INFO BELOW
This ride will begin at 5:00 am on Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Belin Park, near Richmond; click on the links above for
driving directions to the start and for the turn sheet. See the home page for general information about how the ride will
be organized and how to contact me.
There is plenty of parking at Belin Park. I may be able to arrange for a bathroom nearby. Also, there are convenience
stores along Highway 359 as you approach the park. The park itself has no facilities, unless you want to play baseball.
The route is about 212 miles. I surveyed and measured it by car, and the distance has been confirmed by bike computer.
It's a nice, scenic route - you're going to love it.

YOU GUESSED IT - MORE INFO
Who's coming? The more emails I get, the better.
What to bring:
Crew:
Bike rack, pump, turn sheet and map are most essential. If you dont have a pump, try to get one to carry from one of
your riders. You can bring spare coolers and other stuff if you like, but riders are responsible for their supplies. Your
biggest job is to help keep your riders on course.
Riders:
Flat supplies, including floor pump (in case your driver needs one see above). Your drink and food supplies. Tools,
clothes, whatever you like.
Dividing riders among drivers by speed and friend-factors happens at the start, and there will be shuffling around during
the day.
Food and drink:
Plan on a 10,000,000 calorie, 3 gallon day. Gain weight on this ride. Hallucinations are no fun.
HEALTH OR ACCIDENT EMERGENCIES: CALL 911.
HEALTH OR ACCIDENT EMERGENCIES: CALL 911.
Clear enough?
Turn sheets:
I will have plenty of copies for everyone at the start.
Convenience stores are fairly plentiful, except for a couple of gaps. The turn sheets have info about the gaps.
The route:
Are you reading this, drivers? Look at the turn sheet in advance. Try to put yourself at each turn, so you don't lose
your riders.
Legal liability:
These rides are free, friendly get-togethers, not organized rides. There will be no traffic control and no emergency
medical care available. If you have never ridden at least a century under 8 hours, train more and come out next year. If
you have a lawyer who thinks that I am somehow responsible for misfortune in your life, stay home.
If you really want to sue me, I'll gladly let you have my education loans.
